# SERAPH > SERAPH builds an adaptive AI-and-data system to grow duckweed (Lemnaceae) in real-world outdoor conditions — closing the gap between what works in the lab and what survives in the field. One system runs two firewalled streams that are never blended: a clean production line (food, feed and high-value products) and non-food remediation biomass. Operated by SERAPH ENGINEERING, S.L., Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. ## What SERAPH does - **Adaptive cultivation.** Sensing, simulation and a literature-trained knowledge base feed a single loop, so a duckweed system can be engineered toward a chosen goal — nutrient and contaminant removal, protein, or starch — before it is built, using data from real conditions rather than lab assumptions. - **Computer vision.** A working vision system reconstructs a real cultivation tray in 3D from a single capture and already tells duckweed species apart in a live frame; growth- and stress-reading are in development. - **Honest maturity.** SERAPH is at proof-of-concept (TRL 3), with a 256-paper knowledge base and first indoor and outdoor pilot trials.
